On August 08, 2011, Government issued decree No. 67/2011/ND-CP detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of law on environmental protection tax. The Decree provides for taxable subject, bases for tax calculation, tax declaration, tax calculation, tax payment and environmental protection tax refund.

I. The Government+ On 16th February 2011, the Government issued the Decree No. 14/2011/ND-CP prescribing the conditions for registration and operation of customs clearance agents. This Decree takes effect from 01st April 2011 and replaces Decree No. 79/2005/ND-CP issued by the Government on 16th June 2005 prescribing the conditions for registration and operation of customs clearance agents.

On 4 April 2011 the Government issued Decree No 22/2011/ND-CP increasing the minimum monthly salary from VND 730,000 (US$4.60) to VND 830,000 ($39.50). The Decree will come into effect from 19 May 2011. However, the new common minimum salary will apply from 1 May 2011.
