“Vietnam is one of the strategic nation in UNIDROIT's development policy ”

The statement was declared by Mr. Estrella Faria, Secretary General of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) in occasion of his courtesy visit to Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien informed the Secretary-General of UNIDROIT of Vietnam’s development in the process of international integration, including international private law. Recently, Vietnam became a member of Hague Conference which was about international private law. At present, Vietnam are considering to take part in other international organizations, including UNIDROIT.
As for his part, Secretary General expressed the wish of UNIDROIT and other Asian members such as Japan, PRC, South Korea in supporting Vietnam to join the organization in the coming time.
