To further strengthen the legal and judicial cooperation

On May 28, Mr. Jeff Nankivell - Acting Regional Director General, Asia, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) gets a warm welcome from the Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong at the MOJ headquarter on the occasion that the two countries is preparing for the implementation of the new agreements on judicial and legal cooperation.
At the meeting Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong thanked the Government of Canada and CIDA for their support to the perfection of the legal system and judicial reform in Vietnam. He emphasized that the joint projects between Canada and Vietnam in the legal and judicial fields are essential and will greatly assist Vietnam in its innovation process.
Two sides also highly appreciated the activities planning for new project between Canada and Vietnam and hoped that the project would soon come into operation.
Minister expressed his hope that the national legislative development project will be effective, which opens up further cooperation opportunities between the two countries in general and the Ministry of Justice with CIDA in particular, effectively serve the perfection of the legal system and judicial reform in Vietnam.
