Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Khanh Ngoc welcomed representatives of the International Notarization Union

On June 24th, Deputy Minister Nguyen Khanh Ngoc met the Chairman of the International Notarial Cooperation (International Notarization Union), Mr. Michel Merlotti to exchange some issues that both parties are interested in.
Deputy Minister informed that the number of notaries and notarization practice organizations have increased significantly due to the issuance of the 2014 Notarization Law and the fact that Vietnam are now a member of the International Notarization Union. The importance of notaries have also been improved. The regulations of Vietnamese law on this matter have harmonized with international legal system. The establishment of National Notarization Association are also being speeded up, specifically the establishment of many local Notarization Associations.
Mr. Michel Merlotti has a high appreciation for the development of notarization in Vietnam recently. He also informed that the International Notarization Union is looking forward to the establishment of Vietnamese Notarization Association. This is one of the main conditions to determine the membership status of Vietnam in the Union. The Chairman also exchanged with Mr. Nguyen Khanh Ngoc about some technical matters relating to the notarization practice in Vietnam.
