In the framework of the technical support program of the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) for the member countries in the list No.3 issued by FATF (The Financial Action Task Force - the inter-governmental anti-money laundering), Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien on February 2 had a meeting with the high-level delegation led by Mr. Gordon Hook, APG Executive Secretary.
The meeting aimed at discussing the work that the Ministry of Justice has been responsible for implementation in the Action Plan on combating money laundering and terrorist financing launched by FATF for Vietnam to find out difficulties during the implementation and provide support and assistance to Vietnam to implement the action plan.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien expressed willingness to cooperate and receive support from the APG in the completion of Vietnam’s legal provisions on prevention of money laundering./.-ITD
