Workshop on introduction of the 2015 Civil Code

On June 17th, the Ministry of Justice and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) organized the Workshop on indroduction of the 2015 Civil Code. Attending the workshop was Deputy Minister of Justice Dinh Trung Tung; Mr. Kawanishi, who is the Chief Advisor of Project JICA amd Prosecutor of Japanese Ministry of Justice.
Speaking at the Workshop, Deputy Minister Dinh Trung Tung shared the history and amendment process of the Civil Code. He also affirmed that the Code is very important to the citizens and can specify the civil field of 2013 Constitution with rule of law and civil rights spirit.
On behalf of the Ministry, Mr. Deputy Minister thanked the Japanese Government for supporting Vietnam in completing the 2015 Civil Code. He hoped that in the future, Vietnam will continue to receive positively cooperation from Project JICA in particular and Japanese Government in general.
Mr. Kawanishi was delightful to contribute to the building of the 2015 Civil Code. He confirmed that the 2015 Civil Code is a giant step toward a primary legal system for market economy, it also brought the Vietnamese Civil Code closer to the Civil Code of many countries around the world. Mr. Chief Advisor cum Prosecutor – Public Lawyer hoped that Vietnam, especially the Ministry of Justice will continue to support and cooperate with the project.
At the workshop, the delegates listened to the introduction and discussed about the general regulations, the regulatory on implementing obligation; obligations – contracts inheritance and property ownership and other rights of the 2015 Civil Code.
The workshop tookplaced in one day.
