The 2nd Drafting Committee and Editorial Team meeting of the Law on State Compensation Liability

On May 20th, the Ministry of Justice held the 2nd Drafting Committee and Editorial Team meeting of the Law on State Compensation Liability (amended). The meeting was chaired by Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long, who also is the chief of the Drafting Committee.
Attending the meeting are Deputy Minister of Justice cum vice chief of the Drafting Committee Nguyen Khanh Ngoc; members of the Drafting Committee and Editorial Team, representatives of organs like: the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Defence…
At the meeting, Director of State Compensation Department cum Leader of Editorial Team annouced Resolution No.33/NQ-CP dated 09/05/2016 by the Government about the April 2016 Government annual meeting, which is related to the content of the Report on the orientations of the Law on State Compensation Liability (amended) project. He also introduced some new and main contents of the 1st draft of the Law.
Having discussed at the meeting, the members of the Drafting Committee and Editorial Team and the delegates who attended the meeting highly appriciated the preparation and proactivity of the Editorial Team in building the draft of the Law (amended) after the April 2016 Government annual meeting. The members of the Drafting Committee and Editorial Team also gave specific suggestions to improve the Law (amended).
On behalf of the Drafting Committee, Minister Le Thanh Long highly appriciated the contents that the members of the Drafting Committee and Editorial Team and the attended delegates had discussed and exchanged. He proposed that the Standing Editorial Team received the comments of the member to adjust the drafed Law (amended). At the same time, Mr. Minister required that the building of the Law (amended) must stick to Resolution No.33/NQ-CP and coincide with the current status.
