The 10 most outstanding justice events in 2011

Ministry of Justice has just announced the ten most outstanding justice events in 2011.1. Prime Minister established the Steering Committee of the Government to review the implementation of 1992 Constitution; amend and supplement the 1992 Constitution; Justice agencies are assigned as the standing agencies.
2. Ministry of Justice tops the list of assessing trade law compilation and enforcement efficiency of competent state bodies in 2011 (MEI 2011).
3. Prime Minister approved the two first strategies relating to areas under the management of Justice Sector (the strategy for development of legal aid in Vietnam through 2020, with orientations toward 2030;and strategy for development of the lawyer profession through 2020)
4. The civil judgment enforcement has achieved the highest results in comparison with other years, the pilot of regulation on bailiff received positive evaluations from the society
5. 1339 stateless persons residing in Vietnam received Vietnamese citizenship and become Vietnamese citizens.
6. Activities of legal dissemination and education leave remarkable imprints.
7. Decree No. 17/ 2010/ND-CP dated March 04, 2011 of the Government on property auction comes into effect, contributing to increase the state budget, reduce deficit as well as implement the saving practice and waste combat.
8. The first justice meeting of Vietnamese and Lao border provinces was successfully organised to strengthen bilateral cooperation in dealing with justice issues.
9. The tasks of legal and judicial staff training have gained significant progress.
10. The legal organizations of Ministries and Sectors have new and stable positions when the Government issued Decree No. 55/2011/ND-CP dated 04/7/2011 on functions, tasks, powers and organizational apparatus of the legal organizations./.-ITD
