Seminar on French Constitutional Council

Ministry of Justice on May 08 held the seminar sharing experience on French Constitutional Council. This was an event in the 2013 plan of the cooperation program between Ministry of Justice and French embassy. Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien and Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa, Director of Criminal and administrational Department co-chaired the seminar.
At the seminar, Mr Olivier Dutheillet de Lamothe, honorable member of the Constitutional Council of France, presented French experience on Constitutional Council, the Supreme Council of Judges and the Supreme council of administrative Court.
At the meeting, participants also exchanged views on the operation of the French constitutional council, the similarities and differences between French and Vietnam ese constitutional mechanism, the constitutional models of other countries in the world. The valuable knowledge would allow the participants to have an overall view of the constitutional system of French, which helps them continue to research and build a suitable constitutional model for Vietnam.
