Presenting the Council’s 2013 operating result report, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Council - The Ministry of Justice’s Administration Procedure Management Department director Ngo Hai Phan highly appreciated contributions of the Council’s members for administrative reforms in 2013.

Speaking at the session, Standing Vice Chairman of the Council - Deputy Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long said that although administrative reforms have achieved some positive results, investors still face difficulties and problems caused by administrative procedures, especially for projects involving land use.

Addressing the session, Chairman of the Council - Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong praised the achievements and pointed out a few shortcomings and limitations of the Council’s activities last year. In 2014, the Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform needs to collaborate with Ministry of Justice to carry out administrative reform focuses, including the master plan to simplify administrative procedures, citizenship papers and the population management database for the period 2013-2020 (known as Program 896). What is more, a draft resolution on some key administrative reform tasks in investment project implementation, aiming at removing barriers to this project, needs to be completed.

In order to reach these above objectives, Minister Cuong emphasized that, in 2014, members of the Council should consider and allocate their working time for activities of the Council. Moreover, the standing body of the Council shall arrange resources to perform some important tasks of the Council in 2014.
