Meeting of the Consultative Group for Vietnam 2012 opened in Quang Tri

On June 5, the mid-term Meeting of the Consultative Group for Vietnam 2012 was officially opened in the city of Dong Ha, Quang Tri province, with the theme: "Dialogue with the central provinces." Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh and National Director of the World Bank in Vietnam - Ms Victoria Kwakwa co-chaired the conference. Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai attended and having speech at the second day of the conference.
To boost socio-economic development in the central region the government has introduced a number of policies to turn the region into a dynamic, economically developed one, to improve people’s living conditions.
Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the support of international donors through programs, projects for the central provinces on socio- economic and infrastructure development basis, hunger and poverty eradication, flood prevention, disaster reduction and sustainable environmental development.
On behalf of the Ministry of Justice’s leaders, Deputy Minister Le Hong Son has actively participated in all formal sessions and on the sidelines of the 2012 Mid-term meeting of Consultative Group. The Deputy Minister also paid a visit to Quang Tri provincial Department of Justice.
