Standing Deputy Minister Hoang The Lien said that it was an activity under the cooperation program between Vietnamese and German Ministries of Justice. He expressed his hope that the participants would draw experiences in building the rule of law State and the market economy with socialist orientation in Vietnam through the contribution of Ms Däubler-Gmelin.

At the seminar, Ms Däubler-Gmelin presented two main matters: the court structure in Germany and methods ensuring the independence of judges and courts.
