Consulting workshop on studies, amendment and supplementation for the 1992 Constitution

Ministry of Justice on May 28 hosted a consulting workshop on studies, amendment and supplementation for the 1992 Constitution in Quang Ninh province to widely collect opinions from experts, scientists and representatives from ministries, sectors and localities to perform the tasks for 2012 of the Government’s Steering Committee on the implementation of the 1992 Constitution, with the support of UNDP project named “Strengthening Access to Justice and Protection of Rights in Vietnam”. This activity followed other activities and results of Phase 1 in the implementation of the 1992 Constitution by the Steering Committee.
Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien, spokesman for the Steering Committee for reviewing the 1992 Constitution, delivered the opening speech and chaired the workshop.
The workshop heard experts’ contributions on studying laws on major issues and foreign experiences in the position, function and tasks of the Government, local authorities.
At the workshop, representatives from ministries, sectors, People's Committees, local Department of Justice, the Judicial Academy, Hanoi University of Law, National Academy of Administration and other legal experts discussed and exchanged views on the matters.
