Activity fee for lawyer practice in Vietnam

According to Circular No.02/2012/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance for the collection, remittance, management and use of fees for lawyers operating in Vietnam, since March 1, 2012 the license fee for establishing branches of foreign lawyers' organizations, foreign law firms in Vietnam is 20 million.

Thus, comparing with the current provisions in Decision No. 75/QD-BTC dated September 16, 2004 of the Ministry of Finance, the fee for granting licenses to establish branches of foreign lawyer practicing organizations, foreign law companies in Vietnam increased from VND 15 million to VND 20 million, fee for granting work permits to foreign lawyers in Việt Nam rises up to VND 2 million and fee for extending work permits to foreign lawyers in Vietnam changed from VND 500 thousand to VND 1 million.
The Circular shall take effect from March1, 2012./.-ITD
